Gibson Custom Shop is the pinnacle of craftsmanship, quality, and sound excellence. Each instrument celebrates Gibson's legacy through accuracy, authenticity, and attention to detail.
While some were produced in 1953, 1954 was the first full year for the classy-looking, tuxedo-inspired Gibson Les Paul Custom. The Custom was the first guitar to come equipped with the now-legendary ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge. Like the earliest Les Paul Customs, this Custom Shop reissue is equipped with two Soapbar P-90 pickups and gold hardware. It also has a 1-piece mahogany body, Kluson Waffleback tuners with plastic buttons, CTS potentiometers, paper in oil capacitors, and comes with a Custom Shop hardshell case and Certificate of Authenticity.
