Save time and effort keeping your instrument in tune. The finely crafted 4-to-1 internal gear mechanism allows for smooth, precise control, and eliminates the need for string adjusters.
One of the important design elements of the Perfection Planetary Peg is the variable tension feature. By pressing inward or pulling outward gently as you turn the peg, you can actually increase or decrease the stiffness of the mechanism. As you try this, you will quickly discover how to adjust the feel of the peg, for turning ease and for optimal hold. If you discover that the string is not holding, gently apply more inward pressure as you turn, which will engage the gears more fully. If the peg is difficult to turn, gently pull the peg head away from the peg box as you turn.
Shaft diameters are measured at the thread.
