The YDP-165 features a piano voice sampled from Yamaha’s flagship CFX concert grand piano – a renowned instrument known for its sparkling highs and powerful resonant lows, combined to create a beautifully expressive sound. The YDP-165 possesses the same detailed sound – from the lower keys to the higher keys – full of clarity and rich in colorful harmonic content. Featuring an 88-key piano mechanism, the GH3 (Graded Hammer 3) keyboard replicates the touch of an acoustic piano, offering a naturally weighted feel from a heavier touch in the bass to a lighter touch in the upper octaves. The GH3 keyboard provides a grand piano-like response and sensation, enabling rapid note repetition and authentic expressive control. Furthermore, the half-damper function faithfully replicates the action of dampening on a grand piano, providing a rich expressive variation.
