The Yamaha APX600 acoustic electric guitar builds on and enhances the excellent craftsmanship, beautiful design, rich sound and playability of the APX500II. These guitars are ideal for country, rock and blues, and are suitable for beginners and professionals alike. Acoustic electric guitars have surpassed conventional acoustic guitars in popularity, and the improved APX model responds to the trend towards smaller, shorter instruments.
The latest APX600 features a unique under-saddle piezo transducer, Yamaha’s exclusive SRT transducer from the highly acclaimed A series, natural tone, feedback rejection and the mix-friendly sound that guitarists crave.
Although its styling has evolved, the essence of the APX remains the same. Today, it offers a more natural look, a deeper body for better bass response and greater volume, and a new bracing pattern with no indentations for dynamic, responsive sound.
The slim-bodied APX600 features a spruce top, die-cast tuners and an on-board tuner. Other new features include fresh finishes and an upgrade to genuine abalone and ABS rosette for superior acoustic sound. In addition, the scale length of the APX model has been shortened from 25 9/16″ to 25″ for improved playability.
