The all-new offbeat body style was designed with the artist in mind. The poplar body with quilted maple top features a large top horn that distributes weight evenly throughout the instrument, providing perfect balance while reducing neck dive for hours of comfortable playing. The graphite-reinforced maple neck with bevelled joint provides tremendous sustain, while the fast neck contour and 12″-16″ compound-radius laurel fingerboard with 24 frets ensure lightning-fast playability.
The Spectra Bass JS3Q offers a sound as unique as the bassist who plays it. Whether it’s funk, hard rock or gospel, the medium-power Jackson humbocker passive pickups create a monstrous bass growl, while the HiMass bridge delivers rock-solid stability, a more sustained and bolder sound. Tone can be fine-tuned and adjusted using a two-way toggle switch for coil-tap, 3-band EQ (active only), mic mix control and volume control (with push/pull switch to bypass or engage the active 3-band EQ circuit). With the push/pull selector, you’ll never have to worry about the battery running down and losing sound. A quick press on the volume knob bypasses the active circuit, making it easy to recover the bass sound without having to use the battery.
Offering better value for money, the 35″ 5-string Spectra Bass JS3Q is offered in a vibrant new Amber Blue Burst finish with black nickel hardware and a unique Jackson 3×2 head with discreet J logo.
