Starting with style, the all-new Pro Series Spectra Bass SBP V features a unique multi-laminate poplar burl/walnut/maple/walnut/mahogany body wrapped in an elegant Transparent Cherry Burst finish, with a unique color-matched 3×2 headstock with discreet “J” logo and black hardware.
The offset body style of the Spectra Bass has also been innovatively designed for professional musicians, with a wider top horn that distributes weight evenly throughout the instrument for perfect balance and playing comfort. The five-piece maple/walnut/maple through-body with graphite reinforcement ensures ultimate stability and terrific sustain, while the fast neck contour and 12-16″ radius compound torrefied jatoba fingerboard with 24 frets and oval dark pearl inlays offer superior playability.
The Pro SBP V offers a full sound spectrum for the most versatile and progressive bassists. Featuring alnico V magnets, Nordstrand SB5 single-coil soapbar bridge and neck pickups deliver a full, sputtering, striking sound, with brighter, cleaner, punchier characteristics. An active three-band equalizer, a two-way toggle switch for bypassing or engaging the active three-band equalizer circuit, a mix control and a volume control provide extensive tonal control. The two-way toggle switch eliminates the risk of losing sound due to a discharged battery by bypassing the active circuit and making it easy to recover the bass sound without using the battery. Another three-position toggle switch lets you set a specific range of mid-range frequencies for even more precise tone control.
This 35″ five-string bass is also equipped with a Jackson Single-String hardtail bridge that enhances the attack of each note and improves sustain.
