The BOSS ME series has been a favorite of performing guitarists for over three decades, combining multi-effects power with intuitive hands-on control for crafting tones in seconds. Quick sound creation
With its rotary knob panel and array of diverse effects, the ME-90 allows you to design your setups and tweak your sounds as easily as on a pedalboard, without the hassles of mounting, powering, and connecting various pedals. Select an amp model or effect type within a category and twist the knobs to achieve the sound you’re looking for. 36 preset patches feature ready-to-play professional sounds, and 36 user patches allow you to save your favorite settings.
Versatile real-time control
The ME-90 incorporates eight quiet footswitches and an end-of-travel switched expression pedal. Switch to Memory mode to recall sets of settings from the footswitches, or switch to Manual mode for direct On/Off control over each effect category within the patch. The footswitch LEDs light up in different colors to easily identify their status during live performances. It’s also possible to set each of these LEDs to a fixed color for each mode.
High-quality BOSS effects
The ME-90 puts you in control of a massive library of BOSS effects, consisting of seven distinct categories filled with effects inherited from the renowned flagship GT-1000. Everything you need is there, from overdrives and distortions to Pitch/Mods, high-quality delays, and reverbs. You also have access to 11 dedicated Pedal FX, a Looper, and special effects like acoustic simulation and detuning. 60 types are available, with access to an additional 20 types via BOSS Tone Studio. A send/return loop lets you connect external pedals, with the ability to save On/Off status in patches and place the loop before or after amp modeling in the signal chain.
Premium amp sounds through AIRD technology
In addition to its effects, the ME-90 incorporates amp modeling inherited from the GT-1000, powered by our advanced AIRD technology, providing authentic tube amp sounds and touch response. Eleven integrated amp types offer both clean combo sounds and high-gain stacks, with even more choices available from BOSS Tone Studio. Each amp is paired with a cabinet sound when connected to a PA system or recorder, and you can load three of your favorite cabinet IRs to achieve the sound you’re looking for.
Edit, customize, wirelessly or wired
BOSS Tone Studio for macOS and Windows enhances your creative potential by enabling patch organization, sound editing, and changes to amp and effects types. Furthermore, you can save and organize patches for different gigs, download professional setups from BOSS Tone Central, and share patches within the ME-90 community on BOSS Tone Exchange. The ME-90 is compatible with the Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor, allowing you to stream music from a mobile device and wirelessly edit sounds using the dedicated BTS Editor app for iOS and Android.
Lightweight, sturdy, travel-ready
The ME-90 is lighter than the previous generation model while still maintaining the durability that BOSS is known for. The expression pedal has also been redesigned to allow for even finer control of parameters. This multi-effects unit can be powered by four AA batteries or an optional AC adapter, and the rear panel switch optimizes outputs for a guitar amp or live sound system. In addition to communication with BOSS Tone Studio, the USB-C output allows you to use the product as an audio interface with music production software on a computer.
