The RC-5 features the most advanced interface available in a compact looper pedal. The LCD screen lets you keep an eye on loop status while you play, with backlighting that changes color to indicate recording, overdub and playback states. Combined with the multi-functional parameter knob, it’s quick and easy to navigate rhythms, kits, system settings and much more in the heat of the action.
In-depth inspection
The RC-5’s versatile pedal switch controls all looping functions: record, overdub, playback, stop and undo/redo. But a more thorough check-up is also taken care of if you need it. Connect up to two external pedals for direct control of many assignable functions, or an expression pedal for continuous adjustments. Players with advanced systems will appreciate the space-saving TRS MIDI input/output for remote control of MIDI switches and pedals, as well as MIDI synchronization with drum machines and DAWs.

With 57 preset rhythms and seven different drum sets, the RC-5 is ready to elevate looping and practice sessions with inspiring grooves for every style. For each rhythm, A/B variations can be selected from the panel or controlled via MIDI during performance. The RC-5’s loop engine also features a backspace function that’s ideal for giving your music fresh sonic colors.
Capture, practice and play
The RC-5 provides 99 phrase memories, allowing you to store loops as quickly as you create them. In addition to the audio, a phrase memory includes the selected rhythm and kit, so it’s ready to use when you call it up. Audio loops can be saved to a computer via USB. And with WAV import via BOSS Tone Studio, the RC-5 becomes a pedalboard playback hub for lessons, jam tracks or background music for your next gig.
