A.R.E. (Amélioration de la résonance acoustique)
A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) is an original wood reforming technology developed by Yamaha.
Thanks to precise control of temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure, the molecular properties of the wood can be manipulated under more acoustically ideal conditions, similar to the molecular characteristics of the wood in instruments that have been used for years.
New bracing model designed
A modified bracing design with no indentations retains the brilliant tone characteristic of the L Series while enhancing the low-frequency tone.
Very comfortable traditional handle profile
A re-evaluation of string spacing, string height, fingerboard binding and neck sharpening has led to a new neck shape that better suits today’s traditional musicians. The new design offers a stable grip and flexibility of play along the entire length of the neck.
5-ply handle
The new 5-ply necks are made of rosewood and mahogany. The design integrates the neck, head and body into a single unit to create a powerful, rich sound. This approach also creates a solid, stable handle that resists twisting and warping.
LL Body
This traditional Yamaha body style is known for its rich volume, wide dynamic range and excellent tonal balance. A beautiful transparent tone is the result of a design that has been refined by artists from all over the world.
Beautiful abalone binding
Based on the LL16, the new LL16D features intricate abalone inlays around the body and soundhole. The inlays are particularly attractive on stage, where they perfectly reflect the stage lights.
SRT Micros Zero Impact SRT
The SRT Zero Impact Pickup system is a new passive pickup configuration designed to minimize the impact of pickups on the sound and traditional appearance of the instrument. The system uses individual piezoelectric elements for each string to faithfully reproduce the dynamic sound of the L-Series and give the instrument exceptional presence when played in an orchestra.
