Description

Electro Acoustic VL701-EAV
While plugged in, the Electro acoustic 701 violin keeps the natural warmth of a traditional violin while adding edge and a whole new dimension of musical possibilities. Rudoulf Doetsch instruments are hand crafted by Eastman's master luthiers and are hailed by teachers and performers as some of America's best German tonewood instruments. They feature a highly select spruce top with maple back, sides and scrolls, and a hand applied antique-style, multi-layer spirit varnish. The result is a violin that is professional in both appearance and sound. The unique pickup system is embedded into the spruce top of the instrument before varnishing with no disturbance to the bridge. A proprietary 3.5 mm jack is used as the end button on the violins and viola's making it unnoticeable. Each Electro Acoustic instrument will come with a lightweight, low-profile cable that provides a seamless connection to your amplifier or individual playing setup, making this the easiest and most comfortable design to "plug in" on the market.

A soloist's perfect companion.
Designed for projection, Eastman violins will make the soloist feel supported and comfortable performing in the largest of concert halls. With sophisticated and colourful tone, these violins will carry the virtuoso through the most difficult passages.

Electro Acoustic Series.
Eastman's Electro Acoustic professional violins maintain the traditional sound and style of an acoustic violin while capturing the warm and resonant qualities of their tonewoods. The unique pickup system is embedded into the top of the instrument, and a proprietary 3.5 mm jack is used as the end button, making it almost unnoticeable.
The result is a violin that looks, feels, and sounds like a traditional acoustic instrument, while opening up new possibilities for creative exploration.

Aged European Tonewoods
Made from the most sought after wood available, Eastman tonewoods are hand selected from regions such as Germany and Italy. Through a natural aging process, these materials become more reliable and develop deep tonal characteristics that rival the greatest violins of the past.

Antiqued Oil Varnish
Just as it is important to properly age wood, a good finish takes time. Eastman's multi-layered oil varnish is patiently hand-applied over several months, leading to enhanced tonal characteristics and rich appearance. Eastman's varnish shop then meticulously follows an antiquing process, creating a unique look for each violin.
