The WA-47 uses superior components, starting with a custom K47-style capsule meticulously recreated to match early vintage originals. A premium 5751 vacuum tube sits in between the capsule and a custom TAB-Funkenwerk (AMI) USA output transformer. The WA-47 tube condenser microphone captures deep bass without coloration in the low end. The midrange on the WA-47 is rich and detailed with a wide sonic signature. The premium 5751 vacuum tube in the WA-47 delivers true analog tone with exceptionally low gain and (11dBA) self-noise. Premium polystyrene, WIMA, and Solen French capacitors are used throughout the WA-47 circuit, providing the excellent signal conversion that this circuit demands.

Premium Swiss 7-Pin Gotham Cable
Often overlooked, the cable connecting a tube microphone to its power supply is quite a critical element of the signal chain. The WA-47 uses a custom GAC-7 7-pin cable from Gotham, Switzerland. The design and build quality of this cable increases top end presence and the overall size of the recorded image in the stereo field by reducing phase shift and the parasitic effect often found in poorly built cables.
