Beyond Classic
Launched in 2017 for the series' 40th anniversary, BB Professional basses are world-class instruments built in Japan by Yamaha master luthiers. Alder/maple/alder bodies, 6-bolt miter neck joints, and Initial Response Acceleration (I.R.A.) treatment increase vibration transfer for powerful resonance. Their 5-piece necks provide strength and stability, as well as combining the warmth of mahogany with the brightness of maple. Custom-wound Alnico V pickups and convertible bridges and saddles provide tonal flexibility and customizable feel. BB Professional basses are available with four (BBP34) or five (BBP35) strings, and in four finishes, now including Moonlight Blue and Vintage White.
