Description
The 12-Band bass amplifier uses a sought-after Ashdown pre-amp featuring a 12-band graphic equalizer for the most versatile tone shaping available and Harmonic Emphasis to provide the ultimate in Hi-Fi for Bass. Coupled with balanced XLR instrument input and a simplistic design approach, the signal path is kept to an absolute minimum for maximum signal integrity and pure tone.
The 12-Band features a low impedance instrument input, illuminated VU meter, switchable pre and post EQ balanced DI output, tuner output with mute switch, line output, effects loop and speaker outputs on jack and Speakon connectors. A revolutionary new Harmonic Emphasis circuit synthesizes new harmonics, which combine with the originals under variable level control to create an extra top-end 'zing' like permanently playing with a new set of strings.
For Ashdown founder Mark Gooday, The 12-Band is somewhat of a return to his roots, when he headed-up another well-known British bass amp company in the 1980s. "The 12-Band is the amp we were always trying to build back in my 'Green days'" confides Gooday with a grin.
